We love our MKB followers. We love talking to you about books, we love hearing your thoughts and we LOVE meeting you. We know that fans and readers like to talk about all things plot, character, world building and more online - but what about offline?
That's why we're launching MyKindaBook Club - a way for us to talk to you about our books - and the themes within them - on social media, this website AND at real life events. We'll be doing an event every month, at a bookshop or venue in the UK, with a theme, a featured book (or books) and an author present to talk you through their inspirations and writing, too!
MyKindaBook Club will be what you make it - we want this to be one of the most fun book club experiences you've ever had so we'll be asking for your thoughts and feedback along the way.
If you can't attend an event, don't worry! We'll be using the hashtag #mykindabookclub once a month to talk about our books, and check out www.mykindabook.com/bookclub for all related blog posts, downloadable materials and more.
SO.... WHEN'S THE FIRST ONE, we hear you cry!
Join Sara Barnard, author of Beautiful Broken Things, at Waterstones Brighton on 11th February from 4.30pm-6.00pm for the inaugural MyKindaBook Club. Tickets are FREE, and we'll be talking all things friendship, #squadgoals, Brighton inspirations and Significant Life Events. Sara will be joined by gorgeous and talented YouTuber Leena Norms. There will be goodie bags, and there will be prizes. Bring along your besties!
To book your ticket, be sure to call Waterstones Brighton on 01273 206017 or email email@example.com
We so hope to see you there! Please tweet us @mykindabook to let us know if you might come along - or ask any questions about the Book Club.
