Here's an exclusive piece written by Sita Brahmachari, giving us a rare glimpse into the writing process of her magical book, Jasmine Skies and a certain uncanny Kantha coincidence!

I remember as part of World Book Day, a lot of our class read Artichoke Hearts and there were some mixed responses but by just reading the first couple of pages I loved it!! Some people think that the sequel can never over rule the first but I think that Sita's writing will just continue to improve and enthral me to each last word. There are SO many books I now want to read now, because of obviously joining My Kinda Book but this is definitely one that anyone would enjoy!!!!

I have not read Artichoke Hearts yet, but my sister has it and when I have finished reading Jasmine Skies (which, BTW, is the best book I have EVER READ, and I have read about 1000 books in my life time, or maybie even more!) I really want to read Artichoke Hearts! I love your books Sita! \(^^)/

In her breathtaking new novel Jasmine Skies, Sita Brahmachari portrays both the beauty and the bustling chaos of Kolkata.

Sita has kindly shared with us some of her photos of Kolkata, some of which she kept by her side for inspiration during the writing of Jasmine Skies...

So we think that being a writer is a pretty cool job, but being a  DJ is right up there too! We loved Sita Brahmachari's latest, coolest character Priya, the rebellious underground DJ from Jasmine Skies and in this special feature the author reveals how she created such a convincing character,  followed by an exclusive interview with Radio 1 DJ Nihal Arthanayake!

Ok. This is really, really exciting news for anyone who loved Artichoke Hearts by Sita Brahmachari - which, let's face it, is a lot of us! It was a book that made us all laugh and cry, full of characters that we won't ever forget. When Sita announced to us that she wanted to write another book about Mira we were over the moon.

So here it is - the sequel, Jasmine Skies, and it's out on March 29th.

Here is the gorgeous book trailer. It was created by Shaun Cobley who worked on the films War Horse and The Iron Lady - no big deal! We are so excited about it we have been watching it in the office on loop so we can't wait to hear what you think of it.

You can pre-order your copy of Jasmine Skies here.

We've been eagerly awaiting Sita Brahmachari's second novel and follow up to the awesome Artichoke Hearts.

So to mark the release of Jasmine Skies, our Book of the Month for March, we thought we'd show off some of the book's beautiful artwork.

Each of the following chapter illustrations is brought to life through some very meaningful excerpts from the book.
